- Description: The invoice runway shows when each upcoming invoice will go out, and what — or who — it's still waiting on.

Invoicing in Prilet runs on its own — hours become billing weeks, weeks become invoices, invoices go out, mostly without anyone touching anything. That's the point. But "mostly without anyone touching anything" also means the schedule has moving parts: when a week was created, whether its adjustment window is still open, whether a client has something to answer, whether a weekend sits in between. Knowing exactly when an invoice would go meant holding all of that in your head and working it out.

The invoice runway works it out for you.

Open it and you see a timeline of today and the next five business days. Each invoice on its way is a line running out to the day it will go — the latest it will go, assuming nothing changes between now and then. Anything further out — a monthly invoice while the month is still under way, say — sits off to the side in a "Later" area, with its date a hover away.

The useful part isn't the date so much as what's attached to it. Every invoice is coloured by whose move it currently is: yours, because an adjustment window is still open; your client's, because they have something to answer; a subcontractor's; or no one's, because it's simply ready and waiting for the next invoicing run. Open an invoice and you get the people on it, their hours and share, and for each one, the specific weeks still holding things up — this week's window closes Monday at 8 AM, that one is waiting on the client's answer by Thursday. Click through to a week and you can mark it ready or send an adjustment from there, so if you're the one holding it up, you can also be the one who clears it. Underneath, a plain-language rundown lays out the steps in order: window closed, marked ready, invoice generated and sent.

Each date is the latest the invoice will go given where things stand now. Marking weeks ready early can only move an invoice sooner, while an adjustment sent to a client gives them two more business days to respond, which can push things later. And if your firm holds invoices for internal review before sending, the runway shows both when the draft is created and when it goes out after that review.

On the dashboard, every consulting firm's admins get a one-line version of this — when the next invoices go, how many are waiting and how many of those are waiting on you, how many are on schedule — on every plan, including free. The full runway, with the timeline and the per-week detail, comes with Solo Pro and above.

On the dashboard, the same answer in one line — on every plan.
